WHO WE ARE
Kristina Trank
Trainer (APDT)

Kristina's first experience working with animals was in a shelter while on Summer break from Emerson College in Boston. She loved it so much that while in Boston she got another job working as a dog attendant in a doggie daycare, where she continued to learn about dogs and their behavior. Upon graduating with a B.F.A. in Writing, Literature, and Publishing, Kristina moved to Los Angeles, where she had planned to take a year to relax, before starting her writing career. While in L.A. she worked at another daycare and volunteered with Much Love Animal Rescue on her days off. It soon became clear that writing was going to take a back seat.. Kristina's passion was helping dogs. After a year she finally got a dog of her own, Porter, a boxer mix. When she found him walking in the streets of L.A. he was covered in dirt and fleas and had scars up and down his legs. He was scared, but Kristina knew there was a lot of love inside. With a bit of training and a lot of love, he has come a long way and makes a little progress every day. He’s been her best buddy ever since.

Shortly after, Kristina moved to San Francisco to a very dog friendly apartment where she had her own dog walking and pet sitting business. She was also able to foster dogs for Rocket Dog Rescue. Eventually, Kristina fostered a dog she couldn't let go of, Cassady, a blue American Pit Bull Terrier with a bad leg. Cassady and Porter soon became best friends and the family was complete. Kristina, her boyfriend, and two dogs lived closely and happily in their studio apartment with lots of walks and trips to the park. Shortly after adopting Cassady, a behavior issue cropped up, but Kristina vowed to work on it and not give up on her Cass. Kristina got a job at Pets Unlimited, another shelter, where she began learning training techniques and realized that she wanted to learn more to help with her dogs and others. She recently moved back home to NY and began her career path as a trainer. She is very excited to be part of the Who’s Walking Who Team!

Should I Neuter My Dog?
For most dogs being intact decrease their social life and limits their opportunities to play with other dogs. Breeding is best left to ethical breeders. There is no good reason not to have your dog fixed >>
